Australian photographer Ian van der Wolde is a successful commercial photographer who specialties include, Advertising, Aerial, Fashion, Food, Corporate Portraiture, Product and Industrial photography.
Servicing a diverse range of clients from small local business’s to large multinationals, his work has taken him all over Australia, New Zealand and the USA.
Having established his studio, Altered Images Photography in 1986, he was faced with the challenges of migrating to the “new” digital age. Very quickly Ian was recognised for his skills in this area and soon found himself in high demand to lecture to fellow professional photographers in the areas of colour management, digital workflow and fine art inkjet printing.
A past National President of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP), Ian was awarded the title “Honorary Fellow” of the AIPP in 2008 after being recognised by his peers for his outstanding contribution to the industry. Ian is also an AIPP Accredited Master of Photography with 2 Gold Bars.
Ian’s real passion however is for long exposure landscape, and urban landscape photography. In his spare time he can regularly be found out and about in his local environment creating images for his personal fine art portfolio.
This personal work has won Ian numerous awards over the years with the most recent being the 2012 Victorian Landscape Photographer of the Year and also the 2012 Victorian Illustrative Photographer of the Year.
